On 26 September 2026 Dolley’s Dream Cafe posted: breakfast revamped, wraps and a kids’ lunch menu added, “Gluten Free and Vegan options are now fully available and everything can be boxed up and taken away if you’re in a hurry.” That is the policy they chose to put in public. This page repeats it so you do not have to hunt the post.
Fully available is a cafe sentence. It does not tell you whether the toaster is shared, whether the sausage roll pastry is the vegan one unless you ask, or whether a coeliac can eat the Full Engl-ISH safely. Stand at the counter and say the allergy. If that feels awkward, message Instagram before you travel.
Takeaway is not delivery
Boxed up and taken away means you still go to 83–85 High Street. There is no delivery radius on the posts this guide used. If a third-party app lists them later, that will be their choice. This website will not take the order.
An October specials post priced a sausage roll with salad and coleslaw at £6.95, noted a vegan sausage roll, and soup of the day (cream of mushroom with a roll) at £4.95. Those are the only pounds-and-pence this guide is willing to repeat, because they were written by the cafe. Tomorrow’s soup is another story.
Kids
They said a kids’ menu exists for lunch. They did not paste the list on that update. Ask. The hours still end at 16:00, so a late school-run lunch is tight on a weekday.
